At Chestnut Connections, we are dedicated to providing compassionate and professional psychotherapy services. Our mission is to support individuals in their journey towards emotional well-being and personal growth.

My therapeutic approach is client-centered, relational, and grounded in the belief that healing happens through safety, connection, and collaboration. I am DBT-informed and integrate evidence-based skills to support emotional regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and mindfulness. These skills are woven into therapy in a practical, flexible way that meets each client’s developmental stage, strengths, and goals.
I am trained in animal-assisted therapy and thoughtfully incorporate the presence and relationship with animals when appropriate to support engagement, regulation, and emotional expression. Animals can help create a calming, supportive environment and often provide natural opportunities for co-regulation, attunement, and connection—especially for clients who may find traditional talk therapy challenging.
Somatic awareness and body-based interventions are central to my work. I help clients develop a deeper understanding of how stress, emotion, and trauma are held in the body, and we use gentle somatic techniques to increase grounding, safety, and nervous system flexibility. These interventions may include breathwork, movement, sensory awareness, and mindfulness practices that support regulation and resilience.
I work with children, teens, and adults, adapting my approach to each developmental stage and individual need. With children and adolescents, therapy often includes play, creativity, and experiential interventions to support emotional awareness and skill-building. With adults, sessions may focus on insight, skill integration, and strengthening self-compassion and agency. Across all ages, I prioritize collaboration, respect, and empowerment, creating a therapeutic space where clients feel seen, supported, and capable of meaningful change.
